McLaren recently unveiled the spectacular 2021 McLaren 620R. It’s a road-legal version of the McLaren 570S GT4 race car that has achieved phenomenal success in motorsports over the past two years.

McLaren has yet to announce an official release date for the 2021 McLaren 620R, but production is slated to start in January 2020. Pricing for the McLaren 620R starts at $299,000. Only 350 units of the all-new supercar will be built.

2021 McLaren 620R Performance Specs

The 2021 McLaren 620R delivers outstanding performance with its M838TE 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which generates an output of 611 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque. This makes the 620R the most powerful model in the McLaren Sports Series lineup. Power from the robust engine is channeled through the 7-Speed Seamless-Shift Gearbox. The supercar can reach a top speed of 200 mph, with a zero to 60 mph time of only 2.8 seconds and a quarter-mile time of just 10.4 seconds. The McLaren 620R can come to a full stop from 100 kph (62 mph) in only 96 feet.

Additional Features of the 2021 McLaren 620R

Like the rest of the supercars in the McLaren lineup, the 620R has a lightweight and high-strength Carbon fiber MonoCell II tub. Driving customization comes courtesy of the 32 settings for rebound and compression for the suspension, as well as the available adaptive dampers with Sport, Track, and Normal modes. Additional features for the McLaren 620R include a rear wing, electro-hydraulic power-assisted steering, carbon-ceramic brakes, and the McLaren Track Telemetry system.
