McL 6GT reimagines McLaren heritage through modern design, tactile craftsmanship, and pure driver engagement. Lightweight carbon-fiber construction, V8 power, and—marking McLaren’s first manual transmission since the legendary McLaren F1—rear-wheel drive deliver an increasingly rare, deeply connected driving experience.

The McL 6GT name connects McLaren’s racing heritage with its road-car legacy, honoring Bruce McLaren’s original vision and the spirit that continues to define the brand.

Its signature red draws inspiration from Bruce McLaren’s M6GT, combining modern paint technology, high-metallic finish, and rich red pigments. The original M6GT fuel-tank panel is reimagined as a distinctive design element, celebrating exposed metal craftsmanship.

At the heart of the car is a lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque, intentionally visible throughout the design. Hydraulic steering, tactile controls, machined aluminum details, and carefully considered ergonomics create a visceral connection between driver and machine.

The manual gearshift is engineered for maximum feel and features a three-dimensional Speedy Kiwi, a nod to McLaren heritage.

Low, wide, and unmistakably purposeful, McL 6GT echoes the stance of the M6A Can-Am racer. Clean bodywork flows from the low nose to the distinctive Kammback tail, while the roof, rear deck, and engine cover form one continuous shape.

Heritage details are woven throughout, including the M6GT-inspired “Racing Loop” taillight motif, Bruce McLaren’s original license plate reimagined as a graphic, his signature in the engine bay, and a discreet Speedy Kiwi on the fuel-filler cap. The McLaren Shield also pays tribute to the emblem Bruce McLaren placed on his race cars.

Inside, modernized boxed quilting and clear digital instrumentation combine contemporary technology with the emotional character of McLaren’s heritage.

McL 6GT represents a future-facing expression of McLaren’s maverick spirit—and establishes a new, highly exclusive category of supercar beyond the core and expanded portfolio.

McL 6GT isn’t just about translating our heritage into the present. It’s about showing how Bruce’s original vision can inspire fresh ideas, richer experiences and new possibilities for McLaren’s future.
